What those places have in common, for anyone looking for counselling, is distance — from each other, and from most of the services.
Online counselling closes that gap. Grounded Counselling Co. is based in the region itself, in Halls Head, and works entirely by secure video — so someone in Boddington books the same way, waits the same time and gets the same hour as someone five minutes from the Mandurah foreshore.
I work with women 18 and over, individually and as couples, through anxiety and stress, fertility and motherhood, grief, relationships, separation, and the changes that arrive whether or not you were ready for them. Sessions run for 60 minutes, no referral is needed, and you choose the time yourself.
If you live somewhere small, there is one more thing worth saying plainly: an online session is private in a way that a local waiting room is not.

Hi, I'm Tilly.
For fifteen years I worked as a barista, making coffees and watching people come together over them — to talk, to laugh, to cry, and sometimes just to sit with someone who made the day feel lighter. Grounded Counselling Co. came out of that, and out of my own experience of needing someone to talk to.
I work with women 18 and over, online, through the things that are hard to say out loud the first time. You do not need to arrive with it all worked out.

Which parts of the Peel region do you cover?
All of it. The Peel takes in the City of Mandurah and the shires of Murray, Waroona, Boddington and Serpentine-Jarrahdale — and because sessions are online, every one of those is the same distance from an appointment.
You are based in the Peel — do you have rooms in Mandurah or Pinjarra?
No. I am based in Halls Head and work remotely only: there is no consulting room anywhere in the region and no home visits. Every session is held by secure video.
My internet out here is not great. Will it work?
Usually yes — a video call needs far less bandwidth than streaming does. If the struggles we can turn the video down and keep talking, which works perfectly well.
I would rather nobody local knew I was seeing a counsellor.
That is one of the better arguments for online counselling, particularly in a smaller town. There is no waiting room, no reception, and nothing on your calendar that anyone else can see.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. Counselling does not require a referral, a diagnosis or a mental health care plan. You can book directly.
How much does a session cost?
Individual sessions are $120 and couples sessions $140, each 60 minutes. The founding client rate of $100 applies to the first ten clients.
