Supporting women
18 years and over

Western Australia is an enormous place in which to need support. A woman in Karratha, a woman in Albany and a woman three suburbs from the Perth CBD can all find themselves looking for the same thing — someone to talk to who has room for them this month — and running into the same obstacles: a waitlist, a long drive, or nobody nearby who works with what they are carrying.

Counselling online takes most of that out of the way. Grounded Counselling Co. is based in Halls Head, in the Peel region, and works entirely online — so I see women right across the state by secure video rather than from a consulting room. Wherever you are in WA, you book the same way as someone ten minutes down the road, and we are in the same time zone: a 10am session is 10am for both of us, which is not something an eastern-states service can offer you.

I work with women 18 and over, individually and as couples, through anxiety and stress, fertility and motherhood, grief, relationships, separation, and the kind of change that does not have a tidy name. Sessions run for 60 minutes. You do not need a referral from your GP, and you do not need to have worked out what the problem is before you book — quite often that is the first thing we do together.

What you do need is somewhere private to sit for an hour and a connection good enough for video. That is genuinely it.

Why online

What online sessions make possible

No travel, no waiting room

An hour of counselling costs you an hour. There is no drive to a consulting room, no parking, and no sitting in a waiting room hoping not to see someone you know.

Privacy that is genuinely yours

You choose where you take the session from — home once the house is quiet, a parked car, or a shut office door on a lunch break.

The same counsellor, wherever you live

Regional and remote WA gets the same appointment book as the metro area. Where you live changes nothing about how often we can meet or how long you wait.

Booked without a phone call

You pick a time yourself and pay when you book. There is no enquiry form to fill in and no waiting for someone to ring you back.

Where you are

Supporting women across WA

Your counsellor

Hi, I'm Tilly.

For fifteen years I worked as a barista, making coffees and watching people come together over them — to talk, to laugh, to cry, and sometimes just to sit with someone who made the day feel lighter. Grounded Counselling Co. came out of that, and out of my own experience of needing someone to talk to.

I work with women 18 and over, online, through the things that are hard to say out loud the first time. You do not need to arrive with it all worked out.

Questions about online counselling in WA

Do you offer counselling anywhere in Western Australia?

Yes. Sessions are held online by secure video, so anywhere in WA with a reasonable internet connection works — metropolitan Perth, the Peel region, the South West, the Wheatbelt, the Goldfields, the Pilbara, the Kimberley and everywhere between.

You are based in Halls Head — can I come to you?

No. Grounded Counselling Co. is based in Halls Head but works remotely only: there is no clinic or consulting room anywhere, and no home visits. Every session is held by video, wherever in WA you are. If sitting in a room with someone is what you are after, it is worth knowing that before you book.

What time zone are appointments in?

Australian Western Standard Time, the same as you if you are in WA. Booking times shown on the calendar are Perth time.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can book directly, and you do not need a diagnosis, a referral or a mental health care plan to see a counsellor.

How much does a session cost?

Individual sessions are $120 and couples sessions $140, each 60 minutes. Full details, including the founding client rate, are on the pricing page.

What if I am not sure counselling is what I need?

That is a common place to start, and it is a reasonable thing to say in a first session. You are also welcome to send a question by email before booking anything.
